Please examine the size chart thoroughly! All measurements are of the garment itself, not body measurements. This sweater is made from 100% cotton and does stretch a little bit! The model has a 39 cm chest and wears the size M.  

For a similar comfy fit to the model, we recommend getting a size with chest measurement that is about the same size as the pet's chest measurement.
